Our Story
Welcome to Flight Crew Custom! My name is Morgan and I'm joined by wife and dog who share a love for flying, woodworking, and design. When I'm not in the shop, I'm a 777 pilot at a legacy carrier who's found his forever home after four airlines. Whether you're just starting out on your aviation journey or you've also made it to your forever home, I understand the long road aviation takes to travel down. As someone who lives and breathes aviation, I’ve always believed that every journey, no matter how high you fly or how far you go, deserves a special memento; making these bag tags is a subtle nod to the victories along the way. They're also just pretty cool.
So how did I get into bag tags?! Our story began thousands of feet above the ground, where the clouds are our playground and every flight tells a story. I’ve flown countless miles, crossed oceans, navigated above countries around the world and along the way, I realized that every journey deserves a reminder of how far we've come - of how special this career is. So, after I land, I trade in my logbook for a design notebook and set out to create luggage tags that are more than just accessories – they’re a piece of the adventure.
I first started woodworking in 2013, eventually forming Landed Woodwork LLC building bespoke furniture and accessories for the home. Going back even further, prior to a career in aviation, I worked in a variety of multimedia and design roles including ad agencies, media production companies, and even visual effects for feature films! That eventually led to joining my various passions into one and Flight Crew Custom was born. Flight Crew Custom now allows me the opportunity to share with you a collection of handcrafted accessories that not only showcase pride and joy of aviation but also reflect the beauty of nature 35,000' up.
Each tag I create is a blend of craftsmanship, design, and love for flying. Whether it’s showcasing the plane you pilot or celebrating the airline you’ve proudly worked so hard to be a part of, our tags are made to stand out and make your travel gear uniquely yours. With every design, I aim to bring a piece of the sky down to earth for fellow travelers and aviation enthusiasts alike.
